“What about the germs?”
“There are no germans here” goes the next line but that’s no longer true.
Work was an irrelevance yesterday. Something to be got through prior to the BJC. Or more to the point to get through before driving to the airport to pick up germans.
4 of em.
Lisa (aka Lilly from rec.chat), 2 of her pals (Sun and Mini) and their mum (Tamali) to be precise. Never met any of them before but chatted with Lisa a few times. I’m their host for the BJC, picked ‘em up and will drive there. Should be a good week. This “not knowing them” business has raised eyebrows with a few folk. “But you don’t know them!”, well no but they’re jugglers; they’ll be sound. It’s a good bet at least.
But they are after all 4 women on holiday – my car was full to the extent that I couldn’t see out of the rear window; and I haven’t started with my stuff yet.
Luckily P&C can take stuff for us as well so we dropped a few less important bags round with them.
And then for the cultural tour of Leicester – ie going for a curry.
We had 12 bods turn up which was nice.
Me, P&C, D, Lisa +3, Jay and Sally (who I don’t think I’ve ever met before) and Phil and Camille.
Lovely food and pleasant company. Not much more to add. Lisa had never had Indian food before so plumped for the Korma but Mini excelled herself with a vindaloo. My Pili Masala was quite warm too.
Now I’ve just got to wait until 4 women can get ready before setting off today.
I may be some time.
But then they are german so they may well be perfectly efficient and quick.
Have fun.
