Eventful

Seems to be traditional to do a retrospective of the year and I’m bored between patients:

Negatives of note:

  • End of a 6 year relationship. Not much else to say about this.
  • 2 burglaries at home and a theft from work. Yippee. I’d survived 7 years in Leicester crime free and 3 come along this year.
  • Household stuff breaking. Dead washing machine, leaky shower, bust boiler and shaky car.

Positives:

  • Promoted at work.
  • Thus work getting more interesting and varied.
  • Juggling getting better despite my handicap.
  • Totally excellent holiday in South Africa.
  • Friends proving themselves to be continually ace; ta.

Other stuff of note:

My PhysioMonkey persona seems to be getting more known and I had a successful(ish) BJC and other conventions. More of this next year starting at the SJC I hope.

Meeting more people than before. Faces I knew are now at least acquaintances and a good few I class as friends now, hurrah.

Not seeing enough of my family, particularly my bro’s family.

So what’s next year?

  • Getting fitter; goal: so I can do a walk like that one again one day without nearly dying.
  • Learning more german; goal: to speak to germans at least 50% in german by the EJC.
  • Better juggling; goal: passing 9 in 2 count, 8 solid in 2 count, and solid esoteric 7 club patterns (inc back to back).

These are definites. The next lot are all a bit more imponderable:

  • More events to go to.
  • Meeting yet more people.
  • Work getting still more interesting?
  • New relationship?

We’ll just have to see.

    Nice goals Al, but 9c 2 count is about a hundred times harder than all the others put together, even if you include trying to explain 9c 2 count in German whilst attempting it.

    Good luck, I hope you show me up as a doubting Thomas, but my advice is to regard that particular goal as an 800′ sea cliff with jagged spikey rocks at the bottom and a lot of bird shit on the way up.

    Hey I never said solid 9c 2 count. If me and C can do it about as well as we currently do 8 then I’ll count that as achieved.
