Memory
Work Christmas do today. Seems early but at least 1 member of the team will not be around at Christmas so it was the only available day really.
We started in town at the place that used to be the best restaurant in Leicester. It’s a “champagne” bar now so posher than a mere wine bar. I was concerned that there would either be no food or that what was available would be inedible middle class mank rather than proper food. Stupidly I didn’t stop by the hot pork roast stand that’s in the centre at the mo first for a swift bite ‘cos I turned out to be right. “Random gunk with other mank” a mere £7 for a snifter. So I went without in protest.
But the company was nice enough.
Then briefly home to actually eat something (ooh cheese and biscuits - rolling out the big guns for my staff christmas do) and then bowling would you believe. I used to go bowling a lot and was quite good at it (I used to average about 160 when I was at the top of my game).
Today was to be individuals rather than girls vs boys. I managed a reasonably respectable 149 and 143; not too bad considering I haven’t played for more than 10 years and the others’ lane etiquette was shocking. I was minded to think about memory of muscle patterns (obsessed you see) and was impressed that my body pretty much knew what to do, at least after the first frame.
So pwnage of the team! Yay.
