More of a small world
I had a meeting this lunchtime with a GP with special interest in musculoskeletal medicine. We’re hoping to set up a unified, multi-disciplinary team in the city and he’ll be more than useful I’m sure.
Anyway we’d not met before so he asked about background and qualifications etc.. I told him my history and he asked whether I had any special clinical interests. So I mentioned that I’m keen on shoulders and I mentioned my convention work as well:
- “Oh you’re a juggler?” he says.
- “Yes.”
- “A good friend of mine’s a juggler. He’s really good, called Paul and lives in Leeds.”
- “Is he a maths teacher?”
- “Why yes!”
- “Small world. I know him and used to juggle with him at the Woodhouse club in Leeds.”
It does keep happening to me. Wonder if that’s just a consequence of being old.
Have fun.
