Nu-Cold Caller
I got a phone call last night.
“Is that Mr Alby?”
“Yes.”
“It’s the Labour party here. I wonder if we can count on your support?”
“I’m a green, sorry.”
“Oh would we be your second choice?”
“Sorry, Lib Dems.”
“Ah. Sorry to bother you. Have a good evening.”
And that was it.
I’ve finally been canvassed! Never happened before. Looking forward to the blues giving me a call now.
Makes me wonder whether the parties are bound by the same rules that companies are though as I’m on the “don’t cold call” list (which works really well by the way).

I got one of those calls
I said similar to you, but in a more go away sort of fashion.
I didn’t tell them who I would vote for.
I’m on that no cold calls list too but it doesn’t seem to work as well for me.

And another thing, Why did you feel you needed to appologise for not voting for them? They should be sorry for not doing what you want them to.
