Juggling thoughts

Posted in Juggling at 10:55 am by alby

I haven’t written much about the world of juggling for a while.  Mainly this is down to a complete lack of juggling in my world at present.  I went to the local club this week but there were so few people there that it wasn’t really worth the bother so we ended up leaving not long after 30mins there.

But tomorrow comes salvation in the form of Chocfest.  I’ve mentioned before that it’s my fave one day convention (despite all sorts of organising hassles occurring every year, apparently).  This is where I did my first decent physio workshop and scene of me winning stuff in raffles (although my last prize was a broken and dirty stuffed pelican – now proudly named “Nellie”).  The chocolate cake comp is perhaps a factor too.

This year it looks like I’m the chauffeur for the usuals so an early start and late finish, although P and C have promised me chocolate goodies for the journey.

I’ll see you there.

Other stuff:

Videos: there are too many being put on-line that I’ve given up watching pretty much any of them.  2 reasons: 1: no time and b: I want to see these guys in shows not on a tidgy screen on my loaned lap-top (ta D).  So I’ll go to shows expecting to be impressed rather than having seen it all already.

Cons: Might not make it to EJC now but certainly I’ll be at BJC this year.  It sounds like the organisers are playing a blinder with funding and guests.  The best BJC I ever attended was in Nottingham so let’s hope this one at least matches that one.
